Radiation Safety
Officer – (24
Hour) - This course is designed for individuals that are or will be
administering a Radiation Safety Program. The lesson plan is
designed to benefit industrial hygienists, safety personnel, other
occupational health professionals, management and staff personnel.
Breakfast and lunch are included each day of the class.
Classes are offered every March, May and October or as needed throughout
the year.

Radiation Safety Officer
Refresher
– (8 Hour) - This course is only for those
individuals that have previously completed Radiological Safety Training
or have previous experience with radioactive materials. Breakfast
and lunch included. Classes are offered every March, May and
October or as needed throughout the year.

Portable Gauge User
- Federal and State regulations require licensees to provide training to
all individuals involved in the use of portable gauging devices prior to
use and periodically thereafter. This lesson plan is based upon the
requirements of
NUREG 1556 Vol. 1,
Appendix D. The course is 4 hours in length and includes a

Industrial Gauge
– Federal and State regulations require that authorized users attend
training as per the requirements of
NUREG 1556, Vol. 4, Appendix G, Program-Specific Guidance About
Fixed Gauge Licenses. The course length is normally 2-4 hours and
held at the
customer’s facility.

Radiography Certification Prep
- This course is to prepare assistant radiographers for the
certification examination as provided by ASNT. The class is 8 hours in
length and includes emphasis on 10CFR Part 34 requirements, mathematics
review and a practical exercise. The requirements for this

Industrial Radiography Licenses

Analytical/Industrial X-ray Safety
- AHP will provide a 1 hour on-site course with emphasis on state
requirements for the safe operation of analytical and industrial x-ray equipment.

Research
Facility
- AHP offers training courses for users of unsealed sources with
emphasis
on the
requirements for authorized users as stated in
NUREG 1556 Vol. 7 and Vol. 11. This course includes the proper use
of survey instrumentation and can be provided at the customers facility.

Well-Logging - Supervisor Training
as per requirements of 10CFR39 and
NUREG 1556, Volume 14 Program-Specific Guidance About Well Logging,
Tracer, and Field Flood Study Licenses. This course is 24-Hours in
length and includes a practical exercise. |
